The Periodic Table of Elements Activity
  • Go to the Internet.
  • Using the www.chemicool.com website, gather the following information on your assigned element.
  • The atomic number, atomic mass, symbol, states that it can be found( solid, liquid, and/or gas), uses, location where it can be found.
  • Once you have collected the data of your element, lets have fun with it.
  • Draw a diagram, using a circle to represent the nucleus of the that element with correct number of protons and neutrons in it.
  • Each energy level will also be represented by a circle around the nucleus where the electrons will occupy.  Depends on your assigned elements the number will vary. Cut a dime size pieces of paper and label it with an e (for electron).  Now paste all your electrons on the correct energy level.
  • Be ready to share the picture of your element with all of us :)
